With a foundation in civil engineering from Tufts University and early career experience as a project manager, Daniel offers a unique blend of technical understanding and legal expertise. His career has been defined by advising on a wide range of business and legal matters across the construction industry, from small-scale developments to complex infrastructure projects.
Daniel has led high-stakes contract negotiations, developed risk management strategies, and overseen claims resolution for both public and private sector clients—including federal, state, and municipal agencies. His legal proficiency spans design-build, project agreements, joint ventures, corporate governance, and corporate security. As General Counsel, he plays a critical role in aligning Posillico’s legal strategy with its broader business objectives, ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and supporting sustainable growth.

Mr. Kaplan is a licensed professional Geologist (PG) with over 20 years of construction management and engineering experience. He has held the role of design/investigation engineer, project manager and director of operations. He has effectively completed numerous large scale civil and environmental construction projects and led operations for multiple sites simultaneously. Though most of his career has been spent in the NYC Metro area, Mr. Kaplan is leading the expansion and development of our business in Texas.
Mr. Kaplan holds a B.S. in Environmental Science, a B.A. in Geology as well as a Master of Public Health in Occupational Health (MPH). He utilizes his unique experience to work with clients from their point of view to facilitate projects on time, on budget and safely.
