Mobilization and demobilization, soil erosion and sedimentation control, clearing and grubbing, landfill regrading and cap sub grade protection, leachate seep collection areas, leachate seep collection system piping and appurtenances, install leachate holding tanks, install equipment building, placement of cover soil, procurement and delivery of imported cover soil, placement of vegetative support layer, drill and install gas vents, install geotechnical instrumentation, construct surface water interceptor berm, construct triangular swales, construct perimeter channels, construct down basins, construct permanent access roads, construct cap termination/toe drain, construct embankment stabilization, install chain link fence, on-site liquids handling, off site transport liquids handling and management, and site restoration
WHAT MADE THIS JOB COMPLEX
The complex challenge that Posillico faced was time. This project is a 55 acre landfill that needs to be closed in less than 1 year.
HOW POSILLICO SOLVED IT
Using multiple crews and rotating shifts increased productivity. Also Posillico’s GPS guided machinery levels the ground faster and more accurately than in the past.
