Summary

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Construction of approximately 2900 linear feet of channel stabilization in Country Club Creek West including three 150-foot-wide concrete drop structure spillways that yield over 4600 cubic yards of concrete between the three structures. Bank stabilization within the channel includes approximately 83 thousand cubic yards of channel excavation, 115 thousand cubic yards of embankment fill, 35 thousand cubic yards of large diameter riprap, and 240 linear feet of permanent steel sheet piling. The required phased construction plan within the creek was supported in part by the design of cofferdams, excavation safety systems, care of surface water plan, and a dewatering plan. The plan shows the intent to protect the work, site, equipment, and personnel during construction as well as identify and mitigate potential temporary increased flooding to the park, roads, or areas upstream and downstream of the project during each phase of the project. Other notable scopes of work include a prefabricated pedestrian bridge, trail work, native landscape planting, irrigation, and maintenance.
