PROJECT OVERVIEW

Site excavation of 20,000 CY of soil, rock excavation, utility relocation, demolition of a small building, installation of soldier piles including rock socketing and lagging. Installation of a reinforced concrete foundation consisting of spread footings and piers sitting on rock along with a waterproofing system and installation of an underground storage tank for a new three-story 98,600 Square foot North Instructional Building.

WHAT MADE THIS JOB COMPLEX

There were many restrictions, difficult site conditions and a short time frame to complete the project. Working in an open College Campus with classes ongoing and working adjacent to the landmark Gould Memorial Library and the open-air colonnade of the Hall of Fame for Great Americans.

HOW POSILLICO SOLVED IT

Posillico was able to maximize productivity by remaining in constant communication with the owner’s representative, designers, and subcontractors. Posillico closely monitored equipment and material entering and exiting the site to minimize the disruption to the students, faculty, and staff, during the excavation of the foundation and throughout our entire contract.
