The electrical overhaul includes the removal and replacement of bridge control system, power and lighting facilities, motor control center & control apparatus, navigation aids, conduit and wiring.

WHAT MADE THIS JOB COMPLEX

Rehabilitation work on in-service precision heavy movable structures such as drawbridges is inherently challenging work. All work had to be performed while maintaining traffic atop the structure and marine traffic below. Posillico worked very closely with the US Coast Guard and Bridge Operator in order to schedule and coordinate work with all parties involved.

HOW POSILLICO SOLVED IT

Posillico always maintained vehicular and marine traffic, and delivered the rehabilitated bridge in a condition that far exceeded the pre-construction conditions and expectations, well within prescribed tolerances and alignments. As well, Posillico worked in close cooperation with the engineer, subcontractors and vendors to bring expeditious and economical solutions to the various unanticipated conditions that arose during the course of the project.
